In terms of the Fund’s annual year plan, we issue or annual benefits statements at the end of April. AlexForbes is in the process of finalising these statements and they will be sent to you shortly. We will also be hosting our annual Benefits Webinar in which we focus on the benefits provided to you by the UJ Pension Fund as well as how to read your benefit statement.

Should you not be able to attend the meeting on MS Teams and would like to attend at a venue instead, please contact the pensions office.
We also wish to remind you that if you have not completed a nomination of beneficiary form and your circumstances have changes, please complete a new form to ensure that we have updated beneficiary details for you. Please note that for the University of Johannesburg Group Life Policies, you must complete the new unapproved benefit nomination for or your benefits will be paid into your estate and not to your beneficiaries, if you have not yet done so. Please note that in terms of the Long Term Insurance Act we also need you to complete a funeral nomination form for the payment of your funeral benefit. If you have not completed the form, your funeral benefit will also be paid into your estate. The completed forms can be submitted to the pensions office or hrremuneration@uj.ac.za for filing on your UJ personal file. Please note that these forms are treated as confidential.
