A call for nominations!

The University of Johannesburg Pension Fund has a number of vacancies on the Board of Trustees for alternate member elected trustees. The alternate trustees will take office on 1 January 2024.

Trustee Election

As members of the Fund – you have the right and obligation to elect 50% of the Board of Trustees managing your retirement fund. We therefore urge you to participate in the Trustee Election process and to ensure that you elect a person you can trust to manage your retirement fund.

Attached, please find more information regarding the duties of a trustee. An alternate trustee will fill the position of a trustee should they resign from office or not be able to attend a trustee meeting.

Should you be willing to act as a trustee, please note that you can nominate yourself.

The due date for the submission of nominations is 17 November 2023.

Nominations can be submitted online by completing the nomination form: https://forms.office.com/r/RCRFk0BEyT

Completed nomination forms can also be sent to fkhan@uj.ac.za or returned to the Pensions Office.

Once the nomination process has been completed, ballot papers will be drafted and distributed to the members of the Fund to cast their votes.
